I have see numerous BN freight cars (Husky stacks, exactly) and the containers in red paint scheme and a symbol BN red/blue. Can someone say to me because this symbol has been placed side by side to the traditional green/white symbol? Thank's!!!
The Blue & Red logo was the symbol for "BN-America" which was the intermodal operation in the early 90's. There is also a version that has a white outline to the red and blue parts. The non-intermodal cars & loco's still kept the green and white logo. Was that what you wanted? Let us know if you need more or different info.
Yes Alan, it is the symbol! Currently all BN's freight cars were repaint and lettered BNSF? And now the intermodal section is out? Also the BN locomotive bringed the BN America paint scheme? You can advise to me a good book on all BN freight cars?
One of the few that remain unpatched.... Captured last weekend, in Minot, ND. Also see: SD40-2 day! Not a Pumpkin Dash 9 in sight!!!
It's a very nice photo! I am a great fan of the BN! In my collection there are mainly vehicles BN, locomotives and freight cars!!
Can any of you say to me if there are a differences between Bethgon coalporter in aluminum paint scheme and those in black paint scheme? When and why is changed the colour? Obviously I refer to BN freight cars. Thank's in advance.
