The boy is doing a "safety project" by setting up a stupid stunt? he could have gone to a number of resources for the information he was looking for...

Guilty for being dumbass..wait, no, that crime would lock up 3/5 of this country's people...

Hope they'll send him a bill for the flat spotted wheels, and associated labor. After he pays for that, perhaps his IQ will have gone up by a slight fraction of a point.... [IMG] [IMG]

According to the article the incident took place in Elk River Minnesota. Elk River is just north west of Minneapolis-St. Paul. The BNSF Chicago-Seatle transcon main line goes through Elk River. The trains go fast on these tracks, its is double tracked welded rail in Elk River. Lots of high speed stack trains. It was an unbelieveably foolish thing to do, they are very lucky they did not pay the ultimate price.

Sounds like someone shoulda dumped a little chlorine in that gene pool..........the algae has taken human form!!!!! :D :D :D
 [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] kid...he oughta be darn lucky the train didn't derail, that the other kid moved the van just in time, and that neither one of the crewmen got out & kicked his little caboose over this asinine stunt.

Wonder how much of a new vocabulary he learned from the angry railroaders...?

As they say down here, "That boy ain't right!"

One other thing- with the state of affairs the world is in today, any wagers that his folks get a visit from the Homeland Security people or FBI for a heart-to-heart talk? Methinks there may be a federal offense or two that was commited here (impeding interstate commerce, possible sabotage, etc). As mentioned before, the cost of wheel replacement for flat spots, the shaken psyches of the crew (possibility of a lawsuit or two there as well), plus the ire of the railroad and the local law enforcement (and if the van wasn't his parents', the van's owner) will add up bigtime.

Junior has done opened up a 55-gallon barrel of crap over this stunt. It may be time for a little "woodshed education", in which the Board of Education is applied liberally upon the Seat of Learning [IMG]

Where are these kid's parents? The article makes no mention of them, nor does it mention the boy's ages. Both the kids and their parents should be penalized to the fullest extent of the law.

Or maybe some time working it off in the local RR Yard without pay so they get first hand experience on why it was so stupid of a stunt.

I suggest we should take the gentle approach to this:

We have been warned to expect an attempt to be made against our railroads and bus lines! So how does this stupid do do come up with this idea?

Here one more time American media makes a big effort to publicly provide Osama's henchmen instructions about how to cost American money, lives, and disrupt American commerce! This could have been perpetrated against an on-coming Amtrak passenger train!

Now you will probably hear or see home movies of a similar occurrence pulled off by some terrorist, because we have told them it will work like a charm.

They are pretty smart without our stupid kids thinking up ways to damage our railroads for them, then have our media spread the instructions all over the place.

There should be no sympathy for the kids at all. Those kind of untrained spoiled brats have been allowed to reproduce long enough.

I advocate giving then one more chance by tying them to the front of an engine and make them experience what happens on a run past idiots like him.

Then if he ever pulls a stunt of any sort, again, do like the Bible says, stone him even unto death. God may not have been politically correct, but He did see to it that only good kids grew up, and either way, He was God, so it was your choice: His way, or you caught He..double golf clubs!!

Then I suggest plant his body face down in a wet unmarked grave without food or water for 60 days.

It wouldn't take too long to put God back in our schools, government, and in our Pledge to our flag, and put Him back on our Pepsi Cola cans!

Like I say, I would be more gentle.
If I were the engineer, I would give the kid one toot, a wave, and another notch! His dinky van would be recycled, and he would have his video to explain how he bent his Mommy's car. :D
