Well I had to do a article for my jobs news letter on my hobby. There doing a thing on employee hobbies. At the end of my article I reminded peolple to Keep Track, Keep Clear and be safe at crossings. My wife kind of laughed at that, But I didn't think it was that funny, I feel it's kind of are duty to pass this on to other that don't have the exposure that we do to trains. what do you think. I may in the future update of my web pages put a link to Operation Life Saver http://home.mchsi.com/~hinzpj3/ http://home.mchsi.com/~railroadphotography/
Don't see a single thing wrong with that- the sooner you can put a OL link on your site, the better. Your wife needs to talk to a couple of railroaders who have seen up close and all too personal the boneheads who bet (and lost) they'd beat the train to the crossing.
Roger, As a person who loves to watch construction equipment, I must say your layout is awesome! "Tool" cool! I mean "too" cool! Love those cranes! The construction companies in that town must be booming! Hope you have some more room to create more "build," "dig" and "wreck" scenes! Dynamite layout! (Is that next in the quarry? Simulated blasting? ). Your old Sidewalk Superintendent, Johnny Trains
Interesting. I'm interested in large scale (15" gauge live steam) railroading and have always though it would be neat to construct a railroad line just like they did in the old days. Grade a short section, lay the rails and as the railhead advances, move the equipment and supplies by rail. Use hand tools to grade the line where possible and if blasting is needed, get professional assistance and do for real.
