    I'm looking for a tie template. I want to build a diamond crossing, about 50°. Are there any drawings available?

    Wolfgang,

    Did you take a look at the site of Fast Tracks ? They make jigs for laying your own turnouts and crossings but on their website they also have a lot of tie templates.

    Kind regards,
    Wilbert

    Wilbert,

    Fast Track is a very good source for templates. Thanky you.
    Now, I've laid the crossing.

    You see, it's a dummy interchange. The curved branch line has a radius of 25'' (61cm). For the safety I didn't cut the rails.

    That looks pretty good! Amazing that you can build this so fast, even if it is a dummy.

    Two questions:
    </font>
    • Where do you get the pcb ties? Or do you make them yourself?</font>
    • How do you hide the blobs of solder? Paint them or something else?</font>
    Kind regards,
    Wilbert

    I bought PC board sheets in electronic shops. At the beginning I cut it with my table saw. [IMG]

    The last bundle was easier. My son hat at school a chance to cut it with a machine.

    When the track is painted, weathered and ballasted, it looks better:

    You find more at my site.
