I am new to this group as well as quite new to model railroading. I have seen an article about mountains and rock faces by Paul Templar. He says that you should cover the rock face with "household emulsion". Would anyone have an idea what this is. Is it paint? Thanks in advance Stan C.
Hi Stan, why not ask him. This is a link to his forum http://www.all-model-railroading.co.uk/forums/index.php?&CODE=03&uid=175&aid=4b78ce2e51c56812e4426aaa9fac423c
Household emulsion is the paint you slap on the walls at home. I use the white version for my 'snow' Jon
How can you use household emulsion or latex paint to make snow? How do you apply it? Jon's looks so realistic!
Welcome to Trainboard If you click on the picture link and then do a blowup and a second blowup of the thumbnail shot, you will see that on the turnout showing on the left side the points and the switch are clear of paint.
Paint it on with a brush, avoiding the rails if possible. For the fields, I sprinkled on WS Snow powder while the paint was still wet. Jon
