I was wondering if anyone knew what had happened to this former Delaware & Hudson Railroad property. What I last have involves this:

July 14, 1929 - Canadian National Railways purchases QM&SR and merges it into their system (St-Lambert - Parisville and Sorel - Noyan)

What subdivisions did this line become and what is left, line and station wise?

Re Montreal & southern Counties. It used to B pat of C.N.'s Grandby Subdivision. I'm
not to sure whats left of it Now - If Anything. I have been on the line from Mtl
to Waterloo on some Fan Trips. I have the
Train Orders etc plus its in B.L.E. Time
Books as to the Type of Trips Operated. Lots
of Fun in Those Days etc.

Also if You Can get a hold of the Canadian Railroad Historical Association
in Montreal. They have Lost of Imformation etc on the Lines. Good Luck. Feel Free to get in Touch Ok.

Actually, Andrew, this line was a formerally owned by Delaware and Hudson RR and kept its Canadian names. It was Last known as Quebec Montreal & Southern Ry (a history book said Quebec Southern Ry) and prior to that it was known as Montreal & Sorel Ry, United Counties Ry, Eastern Counties Ry and Great Eastern Ry (a lot of names for a small line). The total trackage ran from Noyan in southern Quebec (where CN's Swanton Sub is and Rutland RR ended, through Iberville and up to Sorel where it had a line running along the south shore. One ended at St-Lambert and the other continued northeast to Parisville, where they stopped construction. Anyone know what happened to these lines since all I can see today is the Sorel Sub from St-Lambert to Sorel?

This line shouldn't be confused with the Montreal & Southern Counties Ry, an entirely different company and route.

As for my Station Master nickname, I picked it up from a National Film Board of Canada movie that features my favourite line, New York Central's Ottawa Division. It was filmed in Finch and depicted what a day in a life of a station agent was like. I would say more but this is the CNR board, not CPR, hehehehe.
