BNSF has started "patching" their SD60M's (9200-9299) I have only one photo as of now (9223) but I think there are more running around. You can see it at BNSFpix.com

I see that BNSF is painting more of its SD60M's in both H1 and H2. I think that H2 looks great on them. I got this Friday off, so I'm painting up BNSF SD60M #9290, and finish #6915. Man I can hardly keep up on the painting :D Matthew, most of the BNSF stuff I sell use your site for documentation. I would really like to use some of these photos on my labels. You think I could get permission from you and the photographer to add them to my labels? I would give the photographer credit of coarse.

Thanks for the heads up! I was all set to patch mine, but I destroyed a handrail in the process. I look forward to seeing more pictures of patch jobs, hopefully I will see some that are more creative or I will have to break out the modeler license.

BNSF is currently painting all their SD60Ms in Heritage II paint. BNSF 9277 the sole SD60M in Heritage I, and was repainted in 1998. BNSF 9297 in in an experimental heritage paint scheme. It is simaler to the Heritage I paint scheme, but there are differences. Yellow is replaced with red, and the engineer side and conductor side have stripe differences. On side has a single solid red stripe while the other has red stripes with black outlines.

Yes, when they are REPAINTED, they will be in H2....but they are also RENUMBERING...in which they just add BNSF somewhere on the cab. This was what I was posting. Sounds like there are quite a few out in G/B paleface renumbered.

Just seen 9276 though Galesburg the other day in its new H2 paint scheme. I had to do a double take to make sure it was not a SD70MAC first. I saw it from a distance so I got curious and double checked sure enough another SD60M in H2 colors.

Got a fleeting glimpse of 9284? this PM going by Hobart. Looked like very fresh paint.
