Is the 9297 still wearing the experimental scheme, or was it repainted? I see that BN 1991 was repainted into H2 and renumbered as 9299.

Isn't this l;ike the 3rd thread we have about this sweet looking engine? I hope to see it someday but I have never seen a SD70MAC in the Seattle-Wenatchee Vancover area of BNSF.

Dude's, I'm sorry, I was so thinking of the Vomit Bonnet Unit and not the correct unit which is a SD60M, sorry.

You are right about BN 1991 being repainted into BNSF 9299:

I've seen plenty of SD70MACs in all paint schemes pass through Vancouver, usually on coal trains, occasionally on grain trains. Don't often see SD60Ms

In the Saint Paul area of MN you see lots of SD70MAC's.

To the person who hasn't seen SD70MACs in the Seattle area: you can catch them on empty coal trains in Auburn every few days. The trains usually comes to Auburn, the power goes to Tacoma for servicing, and then comes back to Auburn before starting east on Stampede Line. It can be tricky to catch them with the power, but analysis of coal car movements on the BNSF public trace can do it for you.
