Anyone out there remember Front Range engines?

Today I was home rummaging through my the boxes at my workbench and ran across a Front Range GP-7 that I purchased (undec'd) in the late 80's. I had painted it and decaled it for the C&O. Plus added jeweled marker lights, custom details, etc. based on the C&O standards.

After I opened it, I remembered I "put it away" due to the handrails breaking, etc.

QUESTION: Anyone know of where or how I could replace handrails to a Front Range GP-7? I would very much like to put a decoder in this puppy and place it back into service. I ran it on my layout at 00 and it runs this day as good as it did 16 years ago. Good quality engine. I just want to whip the handrails back into shape.

You can try handrails from Proto 2000. The only other good ones are Smokey Valley.

Dug mine out too, and I'm missing one side of the handrails, the # boards etc, am thinking of Proto parts myself to replace them.

With the handrailing issue, I'd make my own custom fitted handrailing from hard .012" music wire, an Athearn metal handrailing stanchions..... I normally remove any an all plasric handrailing an make my own.. which proves to be alot stronger! And not get lost half as fast.

SOunds like a "quick n' dirty" solution would be using the Athearn GP7 handrail set. Or, get hold of stanchions from Smokey Valley & make new metal handralis as John is advocating.
