This weekend could be a busy one. I have a kitchen ceiling to finish painting although I am not sure my back is up to the task this weekend. Sunday is picture day for my son’s football team and my daughter’s cheerleading squad. After pictures my son and the Drexel Hill Raiders Pee Wee AA squad will take on the Colwyn Comets. Then in the afternoon he and the AAA squad will battle Colwyn’s AAA squad.

On the modeling front I hope to continue working on the various gondola kits. If I get them assembled I would like to weather them plus a couple RTR gondolas. After that I have a bunch of hoppers and covered hoppers to weather.

I plan to finish two lasercut building kits.

I also have same decoders to install in some IM FT units.

I have to powerwash the pool lanai area, as the hot humid summer weather is about to end.

Stay cool and run steam..... [IMG]

I have to study for a midterm in Family Systems & Research and I need to blowout the lawn sprinkler system to prepare it for winter.

I do plan on working on my GP10 project and probably doing some work on some tanks for my chemical plant.

The kids are home from college for the weekend and we have a lot of things to do. Don't know how much if any progress I will make on the "Victorian House" I am scratch building.

If everything smiles at me, I should be able to finish drywalling the new trainroom this weekend. Then paint can go up and carpeting down, and possibly I can move in before Christmas. With a new family member due in February, eviction from current train spaces is rapidly approaching.

I'm hoping to finish up this 4x12 L girder section, which is sitting on top of a completed 4X12. Maybe there will be a groundbreaking ceremony next week for the Tokaido Shinkansen line. Seems like a shame to have only two main lines running through 4' wide benchwork but that's where the scenery plays it part.

I've had so much fun building my trestle, so I build another one. But this time on a module. So I can take it with me to FREMO-meetings. ;)

The front of my layout has a shelf area built onto the facia. My plan this weekend is to extend the layout 6" over the top shelf to pick up some more "real estate" for smaller trackside buildings across from the passenger station.

I saw this done at on one of the modules last weekend at the Timonium, Maryland show and was impressed. I have already checked out my "reachability" to the back of the layout after putting the extension over the top shelf and it will work.

I'm going to lay the last of the track to finish the lower staging level and complete the wiring. Then it's on to installing a backdrop around three sides and paint the lower level for aesthetic appeal. Oh yeah, ground throws too. Slowly my loco's and rolling stock are coming to life after being stored for several years. I don't have a large collection, but it's cool to see the railroad getting populated.

Saturday I'll try to do some work on my module. Could be some ballast added. Sunday will be a dedicated to a train market in Örebro. Too much money spent allready this month so I hope not to bring anything home?

Now that the track plan is (literally) nailed down on the new layout, I will be dinking around with the placement of buildings in the downtown area. I have made construction paper blocks that are accurate as to dimensions for each building kit or planned kitbash, so I should be able to get a good idea as to how they will look, at least as to placement.

Saturday is railfanning day- Sherman Hill, after all, is just west of Cheyenne, and this may be the last chance I get to go up the Hill before I return to Texas.

Sunday, I'm gonna try to do some painting & decaling.

Well, we got a jump start when I decided to take Friday off. No real plans, just work on the railroad all weekend. With errands, we got started about 11 AM yesterday and today, and have quit around 5:30 PM to host two parties. We will stop around 2 PM tomorrow to watch the Patriots. So we've already got a lot done, with more tomorrow, especially if that rare commodity here called rain keeps falling.

W/E plans are nil. I attended a train show on Saturday. I did sweep up the construction mess this afternoon when I got home.
Sunday will be a trip to the hospital to visit my Mother(recovery from open heart surgery). I did buy 6 more Tortoise motors and they will be installedhis week. I also will be pulling the last of the old DC cab wiring, and dropping feeders(every rail) for the eventual 'bus'. I also got all of the Caboose Industries switch stands installed over the week(28 of em...).
