I tried to contact Don Gould to kickoff Sunday Night Foto Fun, but he has not replied yet, so I figure he may be busy for the holiday weekend.

Well, it's unofficial, but lets post some modeling pictures tonight in the spirit of SNFF.

I'll start with a few pics of my latest project, The Widowmaker: ATSF Side Door Blind End Waycar

Wow! [IMG] That came out great!

Is that a Period Miniatures depot in the background?

Oh yeah, the Period Minatures Combination Depot. That was always one of my favorite kits. I had that one since before Laser Kits came out, and it required cutting the wood with an exacto knife. (a lost art I think)

Those kind of kits left you feeling very satisfied when you were done.

I made the decals on my Alps printer, although I need to learn the finer points of applying decals to real wood surfaces.

I have been blending in the scenery around my engine house. The engine house is almost done, I have to add the window "glass" and lights then I will put the scenery in around it. I got the mirror under the bridge finished and it is hard to tell where the real cars end and the reflection starts.

    Dutchman,
Nice shot of the Camelback coalin up! I like the Camelback loco's even tho I don't have the layout to really put them on right yet I have 2 of the small Mantua switcher Camelbacks! The 0-4-0 Goat, an the 0-6-0 B7a, which were factory painted B&O, which really makes the 0-6-0 a C-5a class, an the 0-6-0 a D-23 class....

I take it the Camelback you have thier coaling up is the 2-6-0 by IHC??? NICE looking Camelback!

Yes, that is the IHC unit. Model Power will be re-releasing the Mantua Camelbacks later this year. When they do, I will get a few. Right now, it is either IHC or brass.

    Dutchman,
I need to get me a Mantua 2-8-0 Camelback to make it B&O.. And then whatever other one I can think of to have a sortment of them on my B&O roster collection! :D Altho, recently they are hard to get...And prices on them are up their aways! In time tho, I'll have atleast a 2-8-0 Camelback! If I have to make the thing myself!

It worked, I can;t believe it worked!

The photo shows UP # 717 pushing gondolas for the gravel yard into the siding, with the soon to be torn down grain silos in the background.

Ahh, my favorite Diesel, the Art Deco styled :D GP-30. Nice scene Beaumont Yard. Your ballast profile looks great.
