I'm very happy about the U30C, I had been thinking of kitbashing one of those. My 70's BN coal train really did need one of them in the power mix... [IMG]

I bet the Rock Island ones will look cool as well... ;)

Athearn has U30Cs, but the hoods are about a scale foot wide, as were all the older models (except for F-units), thanks to the old motor. I wouldn't mind a couple of UP U30s on my layout as well.

I got word that Bachmann was bringing out a 2-6-6-2 in their Spectrum line!!!!! Any word of this being true ?????? [IMG] Be nice to see one! Hopefully at a decent price too! Being Mantua was the only company to make a 2-6-6-2 besides in Brass! [IMG]

On their website, they have a few 2-6-6-2's listed, though no pictures are available yet. Did you know that Athearn is gonna do a Challenger for the Genesis line? Lotsa great things headed our way for steam.

I'll agree, we are getting some good things in steam! Specially in HO! :D

Don't feel c41-8W, it was hard to find Frisco-painted diesels for a long time- now we have them by Atlas, Athearn (rare now) and Stewart.

Athearn has the GP38-2s offered in BN as well, IIRC. Go to the Athearn website and check it out

I have a lot of Life like's models and I have see that there are many details and they run smooth. The Athearn'model don't seem to me equal. It is only my impression?

    :D :D
