Need a question answered ASAP PULEEEZE! I am busy wiring bus feeds under the layout and wondered if, with DCC, is there any chance of crossover feed of signal if the wires are too close together. These are 8 gauge (I know it's overkill but I got it free) and UNINSULATED. I am mounting them a minimum of 2.5 inches apart. Thank you all for your assistance.

OK, so I've got egg on my red face! Of course there's no crossover feed of signal; if there was it would occur through the rails also. DOH!!

You beat me to it Throttleman.... lol. I know some who will use open copper wire as common wire under the layout. When I asked whether it would work or be safe, the guy said - "Rick, rail is just fancy wire and its open. Is it safe?"

    Dohhhhhhhhh!!

Keep in mind that working with non-insulated wire presents challenges to insure there is adequate isolation. Don't know the complexity of your wiring but be conscious of any overlap of wire or conditions that will create a short.
