How many DCCers out there use decoders for more than just powering locomotives?

Don't be shy, if you've got a "thinking outside the box" use for a decoder, share it with us.

I use a decoder to power my turntable, with the light function powering a welder in a machine shop.

Also I've got a decoder powering my operating chairlift.

They seem to be pretty good smoke generators, at least for a while.

I was wanting some kind of decoder that would run my turntable, but I want indexing. I know the prototype did not have indexing, but you need it if you want to run computer control.

Bill.... I built one as a smoke generator and the test program worked fine. After that it didn't work at all.. (he, he, ha, ha)

I installed Digitrax DH121`s in my two H0 Kato business cars. Now I can dimm the interior lights with the throttle and have control over the rear lights with the function F0. Looks great
