Is it possible in T gauge? I've seen decoders that are only 6mm x 5mm x1.8mm in size. I haven't been brave enough yet to take one of my passenger engines apart to see what inside it yet.
Yep, several people have done it, and they report good results. There is actually enough room inside the larger locos if you try really, really hard!
I guess that if I get around to building the layout I designed that I'll have to bravely take a locomotive apart and see what I can do. Looks like the DCC controller on the TGauge site is currently out of stock. I have a an old Zephyr DCC controller I bought somewhere around 2005 when playing with Z scale, but I suspect the voltage levels are too high for that.
