First one done Air Force one starting tomorrow. Still need to fix handrail and put front grabrails on and number boards
NARC/PWRS is releasing an RCAF commemorative 12 car (or individual) hopper car set due out in December.
First time running this set of GP40-2Ws on my layout. I spent last week remodeling part of the layout to add the building and scenery now seen beside the lead engine. There used to be a set of poorly modeled limestone mounds there which I had to remove to extend the lumber yard out to make room for everything. I still want to add some more scenery but the hard part is done so now it's just little stuff here and there as I find or build details to add to the scene.
I'm going back and forth on it myself. They say December but typically and not unlike Trainworx they tend to give very optimistic ETAs like by a couple of years. What I am saying is you likely have a while to save up
Ernie As you know, I am a UP modeler and that is sickening. Oh well. Fortunately, I have that one already. Continue. Bob
"Tickets, tickets please!" "Throw Nanny From the Train" "Your papers are not in order!" Seriously, that tunnel portal in the background makes this photo all the more interesting.
Both of my grandfathers and one uncle worked on the CN across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. They had some "interesting" stories to tell... I have CN and CP diesels on my layout, with DCC, soon to have sound. I got hooked on sound after I got one ESU decoder and a proper installation so the sound volume was good- took some work, discussions with Iron Mountain staff and Frank at ESU-USA. I will take some pictures and post when I return to Phoenix.
Got the trim paint and decals done will do the clear coat tomorrow sadly i have to say my work is hampered by my spine injury now
