Welcome back to the gateway to the weekend. I hope you all had a great week and survived the IRS holiday week. Are ready to get some model railroading done? Let's get started.

Friday: Only a half day today as I had two live feeds this week so I'll be done by noon today. This will give me an excuse to go visit my not so local hobby shop. I'll pick up a few Micro Engineering HO scale turnouts for the HO layout and talk to Thom the owner. He'll be busy getting ready for the bi-annual FreeMo get together later this spring. After that it will be pizza and the final episode of Picard with the wife.

Saturday: Garbage weather this weekend, cold, cloudy and rainy. Just the excuse I need to make coffee, fire up a podcast and finish laying track on the N scale layout. Mainline is done, one more turnout and a small stretch of flex is all that remains of my passing siding. The wife wants to drag me to Costco at some point. I know it is her favorite place but I'm not sure why I need to be dragged into it. Stiff upper lip and all, I'll manage somehow. Once home again, I'll plan on working on the N scale layout with the goal of installing feeders to the main and siding.

Sunday: Weather will be the same as the previous so it will be more coffee and more podcasts. On the layout I hope to install the last three Tam Valley servo turnouts then move on to the three spurs that will serve my customers. I'll be using Micro Engineering code 40 for the industry spurs, so I'll be taking my time. Ideally, I would like to have all track work including feeders done and tested by this weekend so that next weekend I can start painting and weathering the track. I'll have to see if the Mrs. has any other plans for me besides retail shopping torture. Perhaps a trip to the automotive store will be in order.

So how about you? What do you plan on working on this weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 24th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, be safe and as always...

Minimal modeling will get accomplished this weekend-almost all of my train stuff is somewhere between Tokyo and DC right now. I saved a few items however so I might do a few decals and details on some n scale vehicles. I’m also doing a train/graffiti paint job theme on a co-workers guitar pedal box. We’ll see how far I get by Monday.

Good morning all. Happy Friday. This weekend I have 2 goals.

    • Finish up some small details on this platform and get it mounted the layout which I may get to this afternoon.
    • Walk around the layout w/ coffee in the morning and decide what else I want to do.
    Enjoy your weekend!!!!

Go back to being a mad scientist and finish (hopefully) converting my SD40-2W from DCC to plain DC.

Once I'm done, if you hear someone shouting "It's alive!", that would be me.:D

Kinda depends upon work this weekend. If able. Have been battling a minor health hiccup. If any modeling happens, I am debating whether to start an HO laser kit small depot. Or another pair of resin SR&RL box cars to complete and adapt for the empire. Or should it be a cement plant kit for my mini-T-Trak "layout"? But ambition level, plus unknown available spare hours.... Too many options, which is a good thing.

I hope to finish a 50’ RBL today and paint it and a covered hopper so I can decal them over the weekend into next week.

I did my tax returns back in February so no worries this week. I don’t expect to owe anything this coming year but still have to file.

Ohio State Bowling Tournament still going on will be working on it over the weekend.

Moose's weekends are hard to predict at times, but here goes...

    Friday:
    - Continue testing airbrush to determine if poor spraying is the compressor's fault or Moose's fault. The wallet is hoping it's Moose's fault and that it is resolved soon...
    :cautious:

    - Wait for the dryer repair dude to fix the brand new dryer. Hope he or she is on time, and with an appoint for "any where between 8 am and 5 pm", it shouldn't be a challenge...

    Saturday:
    - Go on a wet hike in da woods with Mrs Moose!
    :D

    - Perhaps actually airbrush a model? A Moose can dream...

    Sunday:
    - Start preparations for remodeling the downstairs bathroom, which will include Moose designing a new vanity that Mrs Moose will have to build & install. Yeah, Mrs Moose has skills!

Hope everyone has a great and productive weekend!
    :)

    Good morning everyone,

No hobby time for me this weekend as we will be driving north to Santa Rosa and visiting some friends in that area.

Wish you all a safe and fun weekend.

Saturday the wife and I are going to try to get the herb garden set up. I need to get to the backlog of laundry which will probably stretch into Sunday. The dog needs washing. I need to begin the fishpond seasonal changeover. Take the heater out, clean as much muck and debris I can from the bottom and pull the water lilies up out the deep end of the pond.

On the workbench I had the Morgan House walls to finish painting and “mortaring”. Then it is installing window frames and glazing. On the layout I have the area around the Union Station to work on. I would also like to do another couple of DCC conversions. Most importantly I want to run some trains.

The GLS N scale plans to continue working on loco service facility. So many tiny parts need painting in a multitude of colors. The assembly of the Heljan Sand and Fuel kit is slow. Glue a few parts and prop them to dry. It’s a delicate kit with fairly small pieces. Wish me luck.

Costco trip = Novocain. :cautious: Yippee! Austria! (Sounds like an espionage foray to me. :sneaky:) Back to the USA! :) @Kitbash, methinks I needs to fill some tank cars. Excellent again! Dr. "Frankenberger" is raising an SD40-2W. Yes. Too many options. I can relate. (Covered hopper?) Don't let the dream die! (y) Drive safe. ;) Laundry alert! Definitely good luck on the small parts. :) Well here I sit at the end of another week. Monday PM saw all reporting marks applied. From then on it was massive Spring cleaning. I haven't cleaned that hard in a long time. o_O Wet and sore one day (Wednesday?) I did get a lot done including interior car cleaning, detail and outside car washing and I needed new shoes and put in a light bulb and some minor apartment repair. (Maint. man can be a little "glacial".(y)) I was so tired and sore that Thursday fishing had to be cancelled. :( Right now the plan is, and some has been done, to fashion internal tender wall braces, attach tender decking and proceed to side steps. Then we go to the locomotives themselves. Have a fun weekend. :D

Not sure how much I'll get done over the weekend but I'm hoping to complete putting things away that are still on what's left of the layout and start organizing / consolidating multiple drawer units of trains / electronics bits, some of which will end up on the sales forum (10+ Nextion displays that might work with @NormHal 's throttle).

I'm expecting our landlord to be over tomorrow morning to start working on the roof replacement for our house in prep for installing solar panels in a week or two. That will take up some of the time but not all).

I should be able to trickle in some layout work in the next ten days as I am on staycation. I need to get some work done around the house but nothing is pressing.

The short plan for the RR is to add backdrops to the two new upper sections and begin track. If I get far enough on that I can build the framework for the lower level. Then take the corner and begin free standing double deck benchwork along the garage door wall.

    We will see.

Just got in from DFW so getting a late start to the weekend. Today will be spent doing laundry and getting caught up on any honey do's that are needed. Sunday, I hope to spend the afternoon in the train room. Not exactly sure what I will be working on just yet but I'll find something.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

OK, I decided to take the entire day and tinker in the garage. I was able to get quite a bit of backdrop set up.

Now I need to begin building turnouts and laying track on the upper deck.
