Nice. But way too much money. Only something very special would bring in much cash. Like the "Clinchfield" layout from years ago.

But this one >>>> "The price includes shipping and set up to your front door." That is a plus !

Someone with more $$$$ then skill and time will snatch this one up . (y)

^ I chuckled at that, too. If you want to put it up indoors, you're on your own

:ROFLMAO: We think alike -- that was my take on it too. The Seller limits his responsibility to setting it up outside on your front doorstep. :)

    "trains and controls not included"

That tears it! I was gonna buy it, but not without trains and controls!

The thing that may be overlooked (although I agree it is too expensive to start wit) is that the price includes free shipping. Take one of the "9"s out of the price and I would consider getting it myself...that, and its located less than an hour away from me so I could pick it up myself.

So, now you have me wondering how much they would drop their price, for a "local" pickup. Hmmmm. :sneaky:

I've had good luck selling "local pickup" items on eBay, one fragile, the other large. They have a cell phone receipt confirmation/payment function as part of their app and it works great. (Note: Since eBay's "managed payments" and IRS Form 1099s for minimal amounts are now part of the deal, I've quit eBay for the time being.)

Those cars Look as if they're painted ORANGE... see 2nd photo. I could see at least $10.00+ for these cars and $2.00-$5.00 for shipping here , not $29.99! The 3rd photo towards the bottom shows FREE Shipping and $10.60 with a priority box or padded envelop, I think a U.S. P. S. padded envelop , priority box is roughly $5.00 . All totaled with padded env. or priority box these cars would possibly cost one $ 40.59 in the end.

I would never use a padded envelope. Contentsd can still very easily be damaged, crushed, etc.

USPS has done FIVE price increases in less than a year and a half. Their latest was just October 2nd. Their small flat rate box is now $10.40. Not sure why that seller is showing $10.60.......

Fox Valley Models produced an excellent run of B&O wagontop cabooses in 2014, 2017 and 2018 that have become difficult to find. I think they're very nice, so looked on eBay and am astonished at what some of the various B&O paint schemes are selling for, as seen here on a bid that closed out yesterday. These sold for $35.95 when new. There's no humor here. I'll never understand why some manufacturers don't rerun models that remain in high demand. With the molds and artwork already completed, they're ignoring good profit potential.

[Note: The caboose pictured is in good shape. The plastic liner is making the trucks look bent or broken.)

    $139.50? Holy cow!

B&O has become my primary road and I bought a bunch of these when they came out. I paid as much as $35 I think for some of them (and thought that was a lot!). I bought almost all of them - I missed just a few, plus I skipped the chessie ones.

And geez, these can still be found if you do some digging. The big time retailers we all know about/use don't have them, but if you browse the oddball/out of the way shops, you can still find some.

I bought a bunch of those too. Geez, I'm glad I got them when I did with prices like this!
