Lowell, NC on the NS main, 06/11/2019. Lowell features one of the very few original SOU signal bridges with vintage signals still standing. It's a great spot. I hope to go there again sometime this spring.
The wayback machine came up with this Reno-Sparks view from 2008: And in June 2018, the old GN yard in Minot had 2 V-trains, one with UP leaders.
Probably 2008? I can't remember, but it's East Portal, CO, and those searchlight signals are long gone now.
UP 9000 is part of a mid train helper set on a load of powder river coal headed southbound on the NS at Chattanooga's DeButts Yard in the fall of 1990.
This was just outside Kansas City. Not sure on the exact location but I seem to remember it was some sort of scrap yard near Argentine Yard. Summer 1991
