Well, stick a fork in it, it's done. Well at least I "think" it is completed. Am I pleased with the result. Yes with my own mind accepting the fact that at 82, I am somewhat hampered, as well as the fact this is N scale resin printed truck, and I went a little overboard with add on details. At any rate I made these images to spot "needed fixes". I can see that on the tractor the rear curbside dual looks as if a seal is leaking onto the wheel. To the shop, NOW ! Now as a comparison here are a couple of my 2 Love's units together. The yellows match fairly well. The truck/trailer unit was sprayed with rattle can "school bus yellow", Ace Hardware brand. Could not get same anywhere for the semi unit, so I used Tru-Color TTX yellow. damned good match, IMHO. The TCP paints are excellent and very easy to airbrush ! I see some update possibilities on the body load & pulp unit. Oh, BTW, here is my next N scale project (after working on my GS-1 ). I have already downloaded all of the images for decals : Can you tell that I like red/yellow combinations. Way back when I did RC aircraft I always used red/yellow monokote. Thanks for following along as well as for the comments & likes that kept me going. Above all; be well !
Ummmmmmmm Carl ??? How come the tanker has 3 red lights on the right rear and only 2 on the left ??? Asking for a friend.
Hey friend, The toothpick that I was using to put a dot of Gallery Glass on suddenly got the shakes. Damned toothpick ! I decided to leave it alone rather than try to fix it. Actually, the turn signal turned out to be too large on left side. Wow, nobody (George) noticed "no license plate".
We just figured someone stole it NOT! We did not notice, even @mtntrainman , and that's saying something!
I shall fix that issue. All I need to do is vectorize these jpeg's, reduce in size and than print as a decal. This rig is based in God's Country !
Carl, I wouldn't waste decal paper, it's too expensive. Just print em out on some stiffer paper and seal them with the clear paint. Since they are supposed to be metal the stiffness might actually help.
So the Bandit is Carl!! running with no license plates. Awesome work Carl, can't wait to see how the semi comes out
The Microscale license plate decals are so small you can’t read the numbers anyway. That could be an option if you’ve got a bunch of vehicles you’d like to add plates onto. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Deacon, You are correct, I have decided to print on white paper and glue to very thin styrene that I have. after the Aleene's Tack Glue dries I will seal with spray can. That is the way I did the haz-mat placards on the units.
