Here we go for another weekend of Proto Fun. Caught this unit in Temple TX back in 2006. Always liked this version of the BN paint scheme.
Russell's CR unit got me to thinking about Big Blue. This from 09/22/1997 at Marion, OH. The NYC, N&W, PRR, C&O and EL all crossed here. That's AC Tower, now preserved at ground level.
A close-up of what is now a fallen flag: CP train 148 passing the Railroad Museum of Minot in golden hour light: The competition helping move CP 148's tonnage:
As you know, I have train orders copied at many of these sites. Being able to see photos of them really helps me to connect it all together!
Visited the SC Railroad Museum today. The discoloration on this SW8 really caught my eye. Now I just need to figure out how to model this!
Do it like Andy Warhol would have done it. Throw it high in the air, then spray it with as many rattle-cans as you reach before it hits the floor. LOL
I took this photo at 0430 in the morning on the pit in Alliance NE, in 1994. Those MAC's were practically new at the time.
RJ, good luck matching that. It looks really cool though. Maybe some iridescent paints. MACs are the best! Here's one from yesterday on my way home from the railfan meet in Chehalis. A three unit mid-DPU help the 970 axles of the G-ELRINB climb their way up the hill to Napavine, WA.
