These were Timberline trees and i heard that Woodland Scenic took them over I need to get a few more of those tall ones. Maybe after Christmas. I got the rest of the logging camp to finish yet and that will take more time than the trees will to make.

Only 50-60? In my much younger years I'd plant 500-600 in a day. I belonged to 'Trees For Tomorrow' and part of it was planting the real things. Many years later now, they don't look so great. While your layout looks great. Thanks for sharing.

I thought i would show the " dirty side" of the layout. I don't think i ever showed this side of the layout before. I don't think its all that pretty, but here it is.

Sir! Your "dirty side" looks far superior to most supposedly finished layouts. I hope that in a few years, I can post pics that look that nice.

One could say the whole world is 'on the dirty side'. I've enjoyed seeing yours as well. And hope to have something like it soon.

Thanks. I am waiting for more trees 4-6 inch. That will get the back,"dirty" side finished. I got touch up to do along the back side and then i can do the rest on the front side. No shots right now so will check in later. More to come, Laters

Got all the trees at the logging camp done. Next project is clean up the shop! Got pieces of the trees all over the layout and floor. Glue around the workshop floor and some greenery on it too. Tomorrows project. Tonight just run a train!

Been taking a break from a lot of things i have been doing to rebuild my computer and a new os. I use linux and it has to be kinda set up. I am back on line again. I got a new keyboard that has a smaller keyboard and i find my fat fingers has a habit of hitting two keys at the same time. I won't do anything on the layout till after the new year, but for running trains. Hope everyone has a happy Christmas or whatever you celibate. Catch you all later, Smoke

Sorry that. I haven't been around here but my computer died and new board and cpu not cheap. I bought a new,(to me), board and cpu that will get me back on-line again soon. I got telephone poles for telegraph lines they used back in the 30's and into 40's. Other than running some trains not much of anything else happening here. I'm on my tablet and its a pain to type on. See you later. Hope everyone has a good new year!! Smoke

I finally got a new motherboard and cpu. Also got a new power supply, thats what started this bit. The power supply shot everything. Shame as the whole computer was rebuilt about 2 years ago. The only other project going on is i bought a new tool box. One of those 5 drawer models that harbor freight sales. I got every one of my tools in it. Now i have to wait till the ground gets hard again to move it outside into the shed. its in the way in my office. Now i have to get my desk in order. laters

Ok, i thought i would be able to put things away so i could find them. Now i have found out i lost a loco and a set of telegraph poles. also i lost a couple of packages that had shrubs and reeds and other plants for the cattle field. Sometimes it don't help to clear out the desktop. Putting the tools in one place was a good idea..but not pieces on the other side of the closet with shelves and boxes with little cups of different sizes. Now i have to tear it all apart to find the things i needed to do. Sometimes it don't pay to get out of bed...:(

At least you remember you have it somewhere!

What I hate is when I buy something I've been thinking about off and on for quite a while, and when I go to put it away, I find I already had one of those!

At least I haven't yet found that I already had two of them!

Its been awhile now but have a short update. I found the telegraph poles. I have them installed as well. One thing i am trying to find out now is Did they use telegraph to alert of say forest fires or men injured. I have looked at pictures of spruce WV and i don't see any other than main line. My main line is finished. I am in research for this info. I also got some of the safety rail on the two bridges. More to do there.
Next, I have been having issues with derails and cars wanting to commit harrykarre out there on the mains. I am having issues with microtrains cars and trucks with plastic wheelsets. I added weight to almost all the cars as they were under weight from what NMRA rules. I added weight to get it where its supposed to be. I broke down and got metal wheelsets and that has did the job. so thats about all i have for now but the photos but there not showing much so laters

Well, i finally figured out how to do this you tube with Linux. Its a shot one about 2:30 minutes. First is the 44 toner from Bachmann. second is the S-2 from Atlas and Last is the NW-2 that wouldn't play nice. I have had more trouble with that engine over any of my other engines. That NW-2 is a bli unit and runs like crap most of the time. I have cleaned the track and wheels and everything runs but for that NW-2!! Its just plain junk!
