So I have a Peco turntable installed. But I had not considered the fact that it has a lip, which supports it in the mounting hole.

Do any of you have one if these? how did you raise or lower your approach tracks and whiskers? If laid directly upon the surface, they are too low. If using cork or Unitrack they are significantly higher than the turntable bridge. I would like to use Unitrack, but... Just wondering how you all handled this? Trying to avoid doing a whole bunch of cork sanding. Or grinding off the plastic roadbed.

I have a feeling I will need to do a bit of shimming on each track, but then I will end up needing to fill with a bunch of ballast, or something...

    Ideas???

    IMHO....

If the TT is lower then the track...shim the TT. If the TT is higher then the track...shim the track.

You want a smooth transition on and off the TT.....
