Just a reminder to all- Please check your "Profile Posts". This function is automatic, public and everyone has it. Other members will now and then place a message there for you.

Most folks completely miss this area. Another reason it is good to check, is when you are using our "Swap Meet", interested persons may put a question up there for you, about your item.

This goes for everyone, every scale and interest area.

I run a couple of forums using xenforo. I find that the profile posting is a haven for spammers and as you said, most members don't check them or even use them. Public posting on the forum and private messages is more than sufficient for my sites so I disabled profile posting all together.

The other problem is some people, somehow, believe it is a general posting area. And when nobody answers them,......

I would not be at all unhappy if that area was disabled here on TB. But I do not have the authority to make that decision. :(

If you're using an Android phone, the first step is turn it sideways, and wait for the screen to rotate to landscape mode. Then tap your avatar, and "Profile Page" will be an option.

    If on a computer-

If you have posted to a topic, your User Name & Icon appear at left side. Click on that. A box pops up. Click on "Profile Page", which opens to show several tabs. The first one, at left is "Profile Posts". Any made by you or by others to you, are right there to be read.

If not in a discussion, look for your User Name at top right of the page. (Small white letters, in a black bar.) Hover and a menu drops down. Click on your User Name. The same happens as noted previously.
