    You funny guy!!

Every day goes by and I manage to get something done.

Yes, I want the layout cleaned up and I'd like to have it running. Don't bet on it running, anytime soon. I'm missing to much track. $$$$'s

Rick, how much track do you need? I have about 30-50 pieces of ME code 55 track you can have if you need it.

Rick, don't sell yourself or your layout short. It's MORE than a mess!

:D Just kidding. We've all been there.

My response I leaned back in my chair and roared with belly laughter. Now that is funny, I don't care what anyone says, that is funny. "More then a mess". LMAO

    Rick...

    My question is...
When we stop by Friday do we have to bring our own hazmat suits ???

Yes!! :ROFLMAO: For sure. Also, a breather that changes the air into pure oxygenate fresh air.
What with the cats in the house, living on the layout (something that needs to stop) and the smells I create. Well, I think the correct answer is yes.:D:LOL:

Working toward and looking forward to your visit. And NO we should be good.!!

As is to often the case with me. Bad news has a way of catching up and finding me. No this isn't about me. Knock on wood. I maybe in the shorts but there's nothing looming for me as I write. You know how things can change in a snap. There is good news, Toward the end of this epistle.

News: Not the kind of news you want to hear every day.

A friend of mine from Big Bear Country learned that a fellow Bear Valley Model Railroad'er had passed away. Old Stubby as he liked to be called. He left the mountain for a permanent home some where, where there are old cars to restore, hot rods to build, and race tracks to run on. (English teacher will have a fit with that one) :cautious::sneaky:

When I first met him, he and his wife were building a model railroad full of things they were passionate about. I asked him if he had ever run a train on it and he hadn't. "No yet" he responded. That lead to an offer to help him wire it in. He declined but don't think that offer went unnoticed. Eventually Big Steve and I (More Track Rick) as he called me, went to work on a new layout. Russ got in on the scenery and then Stubby wanted his garage back to work on auto's. Sold it off. And that was that!!

Well, that's all in the past now. I did a present day tally and there are only two, I did say (2), Bear Valley Model Railroaders left in Big Bear Country. That would be Pete and Richard.

I ask myself what's left for me in Big Bear Country? One good friend, the one that called me to advise me of Stubby's passing, Sir David. As for the BVMR's. My friends have either left the hill for places like Apple Valley, Ca., Palm Springs, Ca., Idaho (me) o_O or Eternity in what I can only hope includes a Train Heaven. Leaving the five surviving BVMR's behind. They didn't even think of taking us with them. Is that a statement or what? Hummm???

Future News. Visitation for the  H&P Rallroad is nearing the due date. I need to vacuum the train layout. My son-in-law helped me move it back against the north-east wall. Now there's room for visitors to get around it. Still a "Real Mess", thanks Doug for the word smack. COL :cautious: Well done and well played.(y)

Back to work. Kitty oop'ss to clean up. Bad enough I stink up the place never mind my cat colony. Sigh!!

I have nose pins sitting at the door in case of emergency. :censored::censored:

    Sorry to hear that Rick.

Run a train, soon, and add some hot rods to the layout, Especially an 'Old Stubby' one

Glad to hear things are doing well and your back at it! I was always curious if being blind or deaf would be better. If you are blind you cant see the trains but if you are deaf you wont hear the trains de-rail and fall off to break in a gazillion pieces on the floor haha.

At least the train will keep going right ? If its not the locomotive end!
My sister is legally blind and she does love the sounds my locos make. Now as long as she doesn't take her stick and knock them off we are safe.

    Better be nice! lol

I've always wondered what life will be like in my later years. I do have to say though the older I get. The question becomes more of how am I going to make it there.

    Happy Friday Jr. Railroaders!

Always sucks to hear of the loss of a friend. I dig the idea of adding the rods to your layout, maybe even a couple of guys moving stuff out of a garage with a half-built car in it? Would be a nice homage.

    Rick,

That is why Bourbon was invented, to toast our departed friends! And it is also a little remedy for what ails you!

Sorry for you loss of a friend, I know too well what that is like.

Had a great visit with George and his wife Jean. They couldn't stop talking about their RV N scale layout. I need to get down to Show Low for a visit and see their layout in person.

    Back to work.

Glad they made it up there to see you! Pics? Am having to plan a trip to Minot to hang with another TB guy soon, before snow. Sure is fun to hang with fellow trainboard nuts!

Pic's? Jean took one of George and I. It should show up on George's thread.

Me I'm so fracking tired of my cell phone and Kodak Camera, I could take a hammer to both of them. My flounced, distorted, mentally challenged...(other expletives intended and I'm sure you can figure it out)...Cell phone is acting up. I hate anything that is a Touch Screen. They take off to places unknown and it takes forever to finger-out what happened. I (me) May run to Verizon to see if - it can be fixed. With a hammer.

Now that the layout is cleaned off, I will be taking pictures of the damaged areas. With my Fuji camera. Works better. Mainly close ups so I can see the damage. Eye's acting up again.

I can see the likes and come backs i've been getting. A shout out of Thanks to all of you, for both.

    Rick,

Do you want push-button (DTMF), or rotary (pulse) dial?! ;)
