The N scale Housatonic RR's GP9 #7324 switches out Specialty Minerals in North Canaan on a late Friday morning.
Good morning from sunny and warm Northeast Ohio! Got a couple of cars done this week! First is and Intermountain ART Reefer Kit, painted with Scalecoat II Reefer Yellow, Boxcar Red and Black paints and lettered with Mask Island Decals (Now available thru Highball Graphics Decals with Hubert Mask's death.) The MP & Wabash (Both Gould roads) combined to make their own Reefer Company - American Refridgeraor Transit to compete with PFE, FGE, BREX, SFRD etc. so that they would have a source of Reefers for produce. Next, an old Front Range kit for the converted boxcars the Southern made to haul the new 45 and 48 foot trailers so they would not just haul one trailer on a 89' flat car. Car was painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Oddballs Decals. Trailer is an Athearn 45' model painted with Scalecoat II Silver paint and lettered with Microscale Decals. Pair of Scaletrains GE C39-8 Engines with a Trailer Van Train on the Strongsville Club Layout. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski
A Chevy truck, a Ford Mustang and a Plymouth Barracuda are parked along the tracks. In the other shot we have 'The Judge's Pontiac GTO in the yard. The real Judge, Wilson McCarthy, one time president of the Rio Grande was long gone when this photo was taken.
I have been trying to run this train for months. Going back to work created some issues with time. Then there was the problems with some of the Con-Cor cars uncoupling and derailing. I get them figured out and the locos start acting up. Took the locos apart and gave them a good cleaning. I finally finished fixing the uncoupling issues on the last two Con-Cor reefers tonight. I then ran a test and everything went well. The 14 car train with two locos ran without stalling, derailing, and/or uncoupling for 45 minutes straight. The run ended when I turned off the power. So without any further fanfare.... Richmond Fredericksburg & Potomac GP-40 (Athearn RTR DC) 57 FT Mech. Reefer (Athearn Special Edition Blue Box kit)

I finally completed my EM-1 / cabforward bash and have posted pictures and a short vid previously. I now have a "final" video just as proof of concept. I apologize beforehand for the "Q" of the video. I started out trying to handle the throttle as well as my camera, not good. One of the members ran the train so I could shoot the clips. Yes I need to work on my technique but it is what it is. You will note the loco pause every once in awhile, usually in the same spots, so we attribute that to dirty spots. Maybe our mice visitors urinated on the rails ? They certainly pooped all over them. We have a major clean up coming to get ready for the upcoming Fair show. At any rate, you can see her performance and I hope you enjoy a 3 minute vid: I will post this at the end of my build thread also.
The new system planning as an incomplete sketch. Walthers N concrete grain elevator under construction. Finally the construction of the new layout begins.
