I am interested in finding a good source for the actual track layout/siding for Gettysburg PA, circa 1950's. During this period the Western Maryland and the Reading served Gettysburg. I found a really interesting source of the industries present in Gettysburg in 1954 (from the Reading historical site), and now I'd like to see if I can locate how the tracks were actually laid out. Google maps made pretty clear that the last 65 plus years has seen a LOT of change to the town, with the majority (almost all) of the industries long gone and the locations redeveloped pretty extensively - there looks like there is almost no evidence of them today. Is there a good place to find how things were laid out/what industry was where back in the day? Besides model railroading, I enjoy history quite a bit, especially the civil war, so this could be an interesting mix of the two.

That's a great site. I found some military maps from WW2 and the situation of the 12th Army Group during the Battle of the Bulge. My parents were right in the middle of that. The way the front moved back and forth, it's exactly like my Dad told me as he remembered it. Many thanks for that.
