The 2nd annual Red River Railroad Prototype Modelers Meet is happening June 25, 2022 at the Forest Hill Civic Center in Forest Hill, Texas from 9 am to 6 pm. See models and manufacturers from the ARK-LA-TEX-OMA region and beyond. Admission is $20 at the door.

The Forest Hill Civic Center is conveniently located on the Fort Worth side of the DFW Metroplex and is a short drive from anywhere in the region. Come see old friends and make some new friends. And don't forget the models! Table space is available to display your work.

Last year's inaugural event was great but this one will be even better!

I see some 3D printed Rockwell trucks in there. Those have always been some of my favorite trucks, did you ever add the Tangent roller bearing cap version to your shapeways store?

I also like the Railfan Models Art Lockman baggage car. The plumbing on the underbody is amazing; I think HEP wiring is almost unknown in the hobby. Ask someone about Pullman lightweight car wiring, and they could probably show you original wiring diagrams. Ask someone how modern commuter cars work, you'd be hard-pressed to find photos of modern car underbodies, let alone diagrams or official documentation.

It seemed like you had the most in terms of scratchbuilt and 3D printed models, just scrolling though, it seemed like quite a few tables focused more on weathering. I can appreciate the builders, it seems like the majority of my projects still need to hit the paint booth.

I didn't bother adding the Tangent ready trucks to Shapeways since the plastic is so brittle compared to resin MP Scale Models is using. The flexibility in the plastic allows the wheelsets to snap right in.

Brien Wood is an amazing modeler. His line of Railfan Models products are incredible in person.

I couldn't agree more! There are a bunch of talented modelers in the DFW area and in the greater ARK-LA-TEX-OMA region. I know there were several who couldn't make it this time. If the stars ever align and they all can come, well... we're gonna need a bigger boat as a man once said!
