Getting my new look bus on the layout and wired up through an NCE light it board so I can control it along with the other layout lights through the DCC command station. The bus is rated to allow up to 9 volts to power it but the light it boards only put out about 3 volts. Plenty of brightness though so I'll leave it just like that. The alignment of the PC board that holds the front light LEDs in position was a little off out of the box so I had to take it apart and figure out how to reposition and get it to stay lined up when I put the bus back together. Most people wouldn't probably even care but it's such a PITA to fuss with wiring under the layout I though it best to get it sorted before I get it installed only later to have it annoy me and have to go through the process again. I'm having a hard time getting the camera to focus on the first pic due to ambient lighting so a little fuzzy.
Updating my MTL bulkhead flat cars with some recently purchased weathered wood decking also from MTL. Rugged card stock that I simply brushed the backside with some micro scale liquid tape, let dry a little then stuck in place. Very nice fit.
For the last week I have been building docks for the pleasure craft at Wicked Wanda's and Water Front Willy's.I also built a set of stairs down to those docks and installed a few ladders. I also angled the sea plane dock with an extension. Should be here within the week from Canada. Ferry boats run their props while loading to keep from being pushed away from the ramp. Thus the stirred up water in the ferry slips.

Read a story on a photography forum where at a dinner party, a photographer showed some of his pictures to the hostess who liked them and said "You must have a very good camera." Later that evening after supper, the photographer said to the hostess, "That was a fine meal. You must have a very good stove." True or not, I like the story and it carries home what you wrote.
Great story! At least half of Ansel Adam's magic was in the darkroom. Taking the picture is like gathering the ingredients at the store(s), and understanding how they will play together in the meal. The darkroom is where the meal is prepared. Photoshop (or similar app) is the new darkroom.
Not much actually visible on the bench right now as I have just been replacing Rapido couplers with knuckles. And gave a basic coat of primer to a couple of boxcars. Later gonna work up some lettering to print onto decal paper for some hoppers.
I have been replacing MT couplers with Unimates or whoever is now the owner of them. These go on cars that rarely get uncoupled. First up is a Concor Budd corrugated side passenger train. Used the medium length coupler which reduces the gap between cars dramatically. Cars can negotiate a 24" radius and possibly a little smaller but definitely not a 9 3/4". Following this will be a MOW train and then unit trains such as coal drags and double stacks. All of my engine consists are coupled to each other with Unimates. They provide a low cost reliable alternative to operating couplers when operating couplers are not necessary.
I bought a bunch of graffiti a while back. I just use water to soften it, then micro set and micro Sol, and I seal it all with mr hobby super clear flat before I add powder to weather it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ive been printing cleaning cars . they work great. i use CMX fabric on the rollers and some CRC cleaner best cleaning so far. cars modified for my liking of coarse i need to make some more tops for the cars. any ideas guy/gals ???
Got the Microtrains couplers mounted on my LifeLike Southern SW9. Gonna start on the paint on the NP caboose.
