    Thanks! I got a solid concrete cap on the chimney late yesterday. Used Evergreen plastic and then filed all the sharp corners smooth. I may take some thin aluminum tape and replicate the flash at the bottom of the chimney though. Thank you for the photos!

    Flashing a chimney. I believe that seeing such an effort in modeling is going be my first view this detail in reduced size. Wow. Great effort!

    I have attempted it on a chimney a while back with bright silver paint. I used regular kitchen aluminum foil when I built Avram's Bakery in a few places. Also, in my build of the "HW Myers Grain and Coal Building", I used foil again where the low roofs butted up to a wall. The black sealant I made using George Sellios's trick of mixing acrylic paint with Elmers glue to make it like "tar" or "pitch". I'll have to try and step it like the chimney.

    Hope you are feeling better. I had to think about "liking" your post. Makes it seem as if I am enjoying your misery, which I am not.
