A couple more packages arrived. All cars MTL. Three weathered montana rail link cars which will be the only boxcars I have in this livery. An actual clean cotton belt car but it does have a hobo sitting on a load inside lol. Three more series 1 "year of railbox" weathered cars. Still have 7 to go to complete the 12 car set but those are on order and should be arriving shortly. And lastly a few more ESM wheelsets.
I ordered a ton of N scale stuff online today. What am I gonna do... I can't think of anything else I need. Hmm... you could order me some more bananas...
Some n scale lumber for my lumber yard, an MTL box car, a FVM GEVO, and a crane. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lots of electrical stuff to rewire the layout. Purchased a Kato M1 Unitrack set which includes a power pack, plus a separate #6 turnout to create a small testing loop.
7x CTCX tank cars, 3x UP hoppers, 2x mobile homes, a house under construction and a resin street car diner. The structures were all part of a lot on that big auction site-I was only after the mobile homes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Once again, nothing sexy! I lent out my copy years ago. I finally replaced it. Sorry about the picture orientation!
Some UP hoppers and a couple of BNSF Dash-8’s. And a couple more decoders for the FVM locos I’ve started acquiring at a scary pace. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes-I was watching them on that auction site for awhile. They were pricey, but the PWRS/MT special run stuff usually looks pretty good and is relatively unique. It’s going to break up the long string of gray UP hoppers that I’ve acquired. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah, PWRS commissions typically carry a premium even if you get them direct from their site but they have some cool/unique schemes.
A beautiful factory fresh Minitrix rail diesel car finally made it in to me today. I had this thing pre-ordered almost a year ago so have been anticipating it's arrival for a little while. This version comes with DCC/Sound and switchable interior lighting from the factory. Detail and paint is top notch and running performance is the best of the best. I'll need to make some adjustments as the diesel sound is a little on the loud side then work on acc/dec rate but those are just personal taste preferences. Was definitely worth the wait and nice to get a loco where I am not tempted to take it apart to add functionality.
Not sure about this one once I got it home and put it on the layout. It's an "new" older model Walther/Proto series. Maybe it's just the color or lacking in detail but it looks really toy like to me. I'll live with it for the weekend and see but might return it. Alco RS-2 and purchased the TCS decoder to install in it.
Does it look like you can do a shell swap? Or do you think some heavy weathering and/or detailing might fix the hue and bring it to life? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
