    As Jim is off to New Orleans on Amtrak and other adventures, I will fill in here for a few weeks.

    Nothing strenuous for me this weekend. Recovering from some minor surgery so I have to refrain from yard work and such. I guess I can still negotiate the stairs up to the loft and my train room. I am working on adding some Kato PRR heavyweight trucks to a Microtrains observation car so that I can have electrical pickup and add marker lights to the back end.

    This weekend is probably shot for modeling, but I may get some decaling done. Yesterday, I had the TEE procedure done and they verified the Mitral Valve Prolapse with Regurgitation, they will determine the timeframe for fixing the valve and may wait a couple of years so I will live long enough not to need a replacement.

    Saturday is club day and we will be getting ready for the Division 4 layout tour on Sunday, which will be another day without modeling.

    I have 3 Atlas N scale GP9s waiting to be decaled for the Southern Rwy. I also have a dozen Tichy Train Group sugarbeet gondola kits to assemble, paint and decal.

    Probably won't get to do any of it.

    Even if I do finish the decal job, I'm technologically impaired and have no clue how to post photos here.

    Hmm... Kiz had to have
    his son make it possible
    to post my photo here...

    Happy birthday wishes to Phillip !

    This weekend I'll be continuing the ballasting of the tracks in Carlin yard between sessions of domestic chores.

    Everyone have a great weekend whatever you are doing.

    #dti406, I wish you the very best with your personal health. #r_i_straw, glad yours in minor. Good luck. And fifty-one years! Cool! :cool: More projects in the wings here. :) My stuff is moving along. Horizontal end frames and vertical stanchions done. (y) Just started installing end beams a few minutes ago. o_O Next, on to brake wheels and platforms. Then I should be able to mount body to frame. I hope. :rolleyes: All have a safe and good weekend. :D

    Friday's are good.

    We will have overcast and wet weather this weekend, so hopefully I can parlay that into some good modeling time.

    The big goal this weekend is to get on the bridgework (that ignored last weekend). This will be a multi-structure bridge of flat-plate, box truss, and elevated to bridge over the mainline at Albemarle City to get to another section of "town". The main industry there will be a large warehouse structure. In the late 50's, the C&O, like most major RR's, developed a "Less Than Carload" (LCL) service to compete w/ the onslaught of trucking. The main facility at the new section of Albemarle City will be an LCL warehouse. There are some other little things I may attend to, but that's the "biggie" for the weekend.

    AND, Happy Birthday Philip!

    I have my module bases for my new little T-Trak empire all assembled and painted. Hoping to now get some track laying started.

    @Philip H Happy birthday! (read this Sunday)
    @dti406 Hope all goes well with yer health! (sounds scary)
    @Kisatchie If you know where on your computer or phone you have the photo(s) you want to insert, then adding photos is relatively simply, although it may take a few tries to get used to it. See below.

    Friday: Mrs Moose said today will be a hobby day, so Moose is going to get as many reefers decaled as possible ... And these are all going to be beer reefers, so yeah! :)

    Saturday: Probably be outside doing yard work with Mrs Moose, weather permitting. o_O

    Sunday: If the weather is nice, then yard work. If the weather is otherwise, who knows? :confused:

    Kisatchie:
    1. Select "Upload a File" immediately below the right side of the text box where you write replies;
    2. Select "Choose File" (pop-up screen);
    3. Select the folder where the photo is located;
    4. Select the photo (A pop-up screen will momentarily appear showing the file. If the pop-up screen doesn't automatically close, then select "Close". The file will show up below the text box);
    5. Select "Thumbnail" or "Full Image" below the text box to insert photo(s) (Select "Insert every image as a..." if you want all photos inserted into the post, OR Select "Insert" for each photo for only the photos you want inserted into the post.);
    6. Add your text above, in-between and/or below resulting photos if/as desired.

    Rick: I'm hoping that goes well for you. My Mother suffered from that, but she feared the surgery and despite the families urging, put it off until it was too late... the calcification around the valve at that point made it unrepairable. She probably wouldn't have lived all that much longer (she was 85 when she passed, which is for most of us a long life) but her last years of life would have been much more comfortable. Make sure that they are controlling or monitoring your blood chemistry for calcium, as apparently is a frequent problem with Mitral Valve prolapse. Here's wishing you the best of health going forward.

    With nice weather will come working outside. I hope to get the backyard gazebo set up and get all the outdoor furniture out. Inside we have Easter decorations to put away.

    I want to continue tuning up some Con-Cor Tropicana and Athearn Blue box reefers. I then have three more Con-Cor and two Athearn ones to build. One of the Con-Cor reefers will require changing the number. I have a Bachmann RTR Tropicana reefer to change couplers and weather. If I need a chane of pace I can work on the coal yard parking lot and access road or ballast some track.

    I would love to see the Old & Weary locos.

    Will it recognize files not recognized by Windows 10. Such as Phones or Digital Camera? I've found I can use the camera/mic for on screen conversations. That's what I've used recently but must be close to the computer.

    Saturday out here in Japan already. It’s “Golden Week” for the Japanese. So they are all off work for the holidays and they will visit family, go to all the tourist stuff, dine out a lot, etc. So we’re just going to hunker down on base and avoid the crowds. No ramen or sushi this weekend.

    Today we’ll do some family stuff-in base kids birthday party, etc. and I’ve got some chores that I didn’t get around to this week.

    Sunday I think it will rain, and I’m going to work on a couple of structures with lighting and interiors. And I’ve still got a hopper I need to finish.

    Finished up a project from last weekend yesterday. Loads for N scale ballast cars. 28 of them.

    Saturday I will start another scratch build car. I will cut out the pieces and prep it for my long weekend in a NV hotel where it will be assembled.

    Other then that no plans
