Well this kit takes some time. But it’s cool. I’ve never worked with brass so that was new. Everything is brush painted. Nothing fancy but it’s a gem. I didn’t want to paint silver like box so I went with rusty red.
Looks good Joe. I like their trucks, I'll get me one of these tow trucks. I used Testors Clear Parts Cement, applied with a toothpick rubbed on the inside of the windshield opening to make a windshield for one of my vehicles, and when dried, it was pretty decent looking. I applied it all around the inside of the opening, then got a larger dab and applied it much like blowing soap bubbles, dragging a skin of the cement over the opening leaving a soap bubble to dry hard.
Thanks guys! That’s an interesting technique for window glass Robert. I’m always game for trying something. Did you have to try a couple times to get it right? Seems like a long distance. The rusty red was an accident I got some black ink mixed and I liked it so I continued. Kinda the Sanford and son look on that pickup truck. Oh and you might have to use a sewing needle to widen the hole that the wire over the boom travels in. It gets fed through bottom. Neat way to make it look like it’s coming off wench
