Well, this weekend I've been putting windows into. Older Athearn cabooses, and playing with some Kenwort trucks....

I'm not running trains. I'm bedridden. It's going to be a long ride. before I get downstairs again.

So sorry Mike. We're all pulling for you to get back on your feet soon. Your layout is calling.

Had an op session here today, we had a great time, cleaned a few yard track switches for the first time in 5-6 years. We ran a few trains, but it never takes very long for things to turn into a BS session it seems. A 30X50 building and all 5 of us were in a space no bigger than a large closet LOL.

Below we have a QA&P thru freight headed east up the 1.5% grade with 4 tunnel units dont know how many cars were on it, it was a little over 40ft long.

Below we meet a D&RGW west bound with a new unit on the head end.
    DSC01158.JPG
Below we see 3 old MAC's come out of the square house to the ready tracks waiting on a crew and an inbound interchange coal load.

And a few Geeps coming off the service pit, headed to their Hooterville Local.

Not a single derailment all session, it was a good day for us all. Oh yea, many solutions to complex international issues settled as well via the BS sessions.

Santa Fe A/B power leads a string of containers on the "water level" route as it passes some NYC E-units on the higher elevation double track.

Later, the crew waves at the bathing beauties as they pass the local swimming hole at the Sebring (Ohio) Model Railroad Club.

I can definitely sympathize. Not bedridden but definitely restricted. It's nothing if not frustrating. Best wishes for a quick recovery.

That a club layout and HO? The area with the swimmers is awesome, and the big pipe with the water gives me a great idea for my N Scale layout, thanks! And the person diving, very cool!

Very nice. When I see details like the water birds, I have to remind myself that this is Z scale. I should also note that, while the 5712 probably could have found its way down to Chesapeake Bay, this engine spent most of its life in Michigan. (Note the absence of dynamic brakes.) It was the delivery of the 5700 series of GP7's that resulted in the retirement of the last steam power on the former Pere Marquette- an obscure factoid that only those of us up here in the Great Lakes region would likely be aware of.

Yes, that's our club layout, and yes, it's HO scale. Glad you like it.

A very poor stand in for it, but I'd love to get some rough plans for roundhouse someday. It seems logical since I have managed to get a bunch of typical Bellingham power, like a few gp35s and U25B's. None of the U25s are accurate road numbers but they are painted too well to ruin theme.

My first people in a scene, got them today. A package of people, have no idea how many for $10.00, I do know cheaper then WS people. At lest 50, maybe a 100? Now I know why people use the previous weekend Photo thread. Cause we don't have a Weekday Photo thread :) Best I could do to keep them in focus. I'll try better next time and have a better scene hopefully? Dang, they are still out of focus, rats! I See Tiny People, you know, instead of dead people :) The movie, Bruce Willis, the kid, etc... Man these little dudes do not like tweezers at all! Now I have some peeps to add to the gas station, etc...

A little better, not much though.
