Not entirely , I am awaiting Richard's answer about the battery capacity of his wireless handheld throttle
I don't doubt that Richard is running both at the same time. Is it advisable? Probably not as Fred (Flightrisk) pointed out. I decided that if I continued I'd put a serial to Wi-Fi converter in the throttle and communicate either directly to DCC++EX's Mega that also has Wi-Fi incorporated or to JMRI's WiThrottle. I'm still a beginning programmer when it comes to Arduino's but it didn't appear that much needed to be added to the code to incorporate the serial to Wi-Fi converter but I might be wrong as I never tried it. As I've mentioned before I now wouldn't want to give up the power of Steve's EngineDriver so the end result is I have a bunch of components that will go to another project or end up not being used . Erik are you planning on documenting what you end up doing and posting it? I'd really like to see the project, Sumner
What project do you refer to (Steve's EngineDriver)? ny links? Yes of course, I have a habit of sharing all projects that I finish, with full details. Grts, Erik
Sumner I am running the Updated Classic. I am playing with the EX version on a separate setup have not tried the throttle with it. (on the todo list). Erik Unfortunately I do not remember having issues getting the throttle loaded. It has been over a year since I built it. I have it set to run with the default 4 locos. I did not delve into it much deeper at the time. I will see if I took any notes about issues. I do take notes on occasion. LOL Also the battery I am using is out of a 2000Mah USB Power Bank I had laying around. Sorry I can't be more help at this time. Later Richard
Also Erik The throttle has the basic array but you can change the addresses as you need them. They are not locked as that array. Later Richard
