Anyone have any suggestions for n scale decals appropriate for service trucks or delivery vans? I’ve been buying in anticipation of putting them on streets, parking lots, and loading docks. There are plenty of RR MoW and emergency vehicle decals out there, but the pickings seem slim. Ryder or U-Haul rental trucks, lumber yards, utility companies, tree trimming,-anything like that.

I can “roll my own” but before I do that I wanted to see if anyone has found a source.

BTW-RPS still has a few sets of their F250/F350 type trucks in n scale remaining that they are selling at discount until the inventory is complete-I ordered some today. As I understand it, Atlas bought their n scale line and it looks like they’re already releasing so RR MoW sets.

I'll PM you one idea since they are not an advertiser here. I did this sprinter van with decals I got from the place. The decals were well done and easy enough to use. I'm going to repaint this one and re decal it because I'm not happy with the color. Turned out darker than I thought it would

Got the PM, thanks! I’ve used them for my Metra stuff, somehow missed these.

Who made the model of the sprinter? What color do you think will work better for round two?

The sprinter van is a Busch model. There are two different sets, one has FedEx and DHL and the other has UPS and a red Corporate Express (I think). The DHL got painted over and most likely the Corporate Express will too.

As for a new grey, not sure. This one was a charcoal looking color that went on a bit darker than it looked like it should have been. Guess I'll wander through the rattle can paints at a hardware type store and see if I can find something better.

Thanks-I’ve seen those Busch sets before-might copy your idea in a couple weeks.

I haven't tried it yet but the Busch vans have a place on the underside to insert a light that would appear to be able to light the head lights and tail lights. It's on the "to try sometime" list for now.

Mentioning a custom decal maker is in violation of forum rules? Thought it was only retailers. Can we get an official ruling from the judges?

Here is one that was lighted with an individual LED for each light. http://nscalevehicles.org/galleries/2/dodge_sprinter_fedex_ground.php

You can see how Peter did it at this link. http://nscalevehicles.org/tips_n_tricks/busch_dodge_sprinter_fedex_ground.php

Wow that’s really something. I’ve got a few other projects on my plate (don’t we all?) but I’m inspired to add this to the list.

A sprinter van with an Amazon logo and LEDs would be pretty cool
