Interesting the article seems to make it seem as though the initiative came from BNSF. My understanding was that although BNSF has wanted it back for quite some time, MRL started this process. I wonder which is fact?
Being as MRL had a 99 year ownership, and always kept up it's end of the bargain, I would guess it was MRL's initiative. Especially seeing the tone of that internal letter that was posted. The Gazette is not necessarily known for being straight forward in it's reporting........
