A photo I particularly like. CPR S-3 6591 and a wood box car at the Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario, Smiths Falls, ON: The S-3 is in great condition, and not just cosmetically - it's an operable switcher. Not only that, the museum lets people climb aboard (as of 2013), as I did when I was there. Nothing stirs up the kid in you like standing in the cab of a locomotive.
Last week saw one opportunity for a good shot, and here it is. This train was set to leave in the evening Thursday, and it was a slow crawl east. Am getting ready for the Fargo, ND swap meet and expo in a couple of hours, will post pics later. Happy train watching!!
Reading 800 rests in the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. The 800 was the first MU car built for the Reading's electrification of its Philadelphia suburban service.

Looking out my hotel window just now. Was down attending my 50th high school reunion (a year late due to the COVID). Looks like some eastern railroad prototype as nothing like that rode the rails around here.

I'm thinking a former Great Northern caboose, X1-X30 series. I check the sites for existing GN cabooses of this series and nothing in (Texas?) came up.
That is ex-GN caboose X310, BN 11444. The dome/streamlined cupola was a one-off design carried only by this car, but as Hemi just said, the design went into production as the similar X1-X30 class: http://www.greatnorthernempire.net/index2.htm?GNECabooseSeries.htm
