    You got that backwards...

The old, rusty Ford is purring on its wheels, with its bed full of junked Chevy parts destined for the scrap yard. The Chevy frame and cab (all that's left of it) is rusting on blocks, waiting it's turn in the back of the Ford, for that last, long trip to the scrapper.

Oh yes! ;) Especially close to the tracks.
I had to put the truck, motorcycle and bicycle in the garage at night. The right of way had been turned into a walking/cycling path.

Here is the latest to my collection. There are 4 new corner modules of the 12” variety, from Masterpiece. They seem to still have wood, and their prices have not went through the roof.

Masterpiece has all their prices on their website. They, in my opinion, are very reasonable in their prices and shipping. These were $21 per each.

This goes along with my Nightmare module. These are the characters that will populate it. I’m not sure which ones will be used for this other than Jack and Sally. I may change out the others from time to time. Oh and I know not to scale… it was hard enough finding these let alone finding them in N scale! I have the fountain from Halloween Town coming soon.

My dad worked for Diamond Shamrock (and its predecessors) most of his career. He retired from a company they spun off from a joint venture with the Japanese. But he was in the agricultural chemicals side of the company. After WWII, the boom in gasoline refining created a lot of byproducts that were increasingly expensive to dispose of, so there was a lot of research into new uses for them. Many agricultural chemicals (herbicides, etc.) were/are chlorinated hydrocarbons manufactured from those byproducts. He was a Chemical Engineer for them.

For a long time, he had an employee credit card which gave him a discount on DS gasoline, so we always bought gas from DS and its affiliate brands.

Naturally, when Atlas came out with Diamond Shamrock tank cars years ago, I bought several, and used a couple in a little display I made for him.

A few items came in for my upcoming layout as well as a few things I can play with now:D

I believe the track portions are the last of those pieces I'll need to complete my layout. The passenger car was one of 3 center entry/exit cars made in that livery all of which I ordered. I was notified just prior to shipping that the one pictured below was the only one of the 3 still available from the factory so I'm a little bummed I couldn't get the other two for a complete set. Still it's pretty cool with directional/marker lighting at the end to go red or white depending on direction of travel. It comes with a zimo function only decoder so adding in some interior lights will be a snap. Also pictured is a bunch of "profi" couplers so I can replace the rapido versions that much of my euro stock and locos use.

Next up are some recent era Deutche Bahn signals. Back when I was first planning my next layout the idea was to do a European/German theme since I was collecting a lot of steam from that region at the time. Plans have morphed over time to the point now where I have mostly North American architecture but was already somewhat invested in German DB signals so I'm going to continue with using those. Obviously the layout won't be prototypical but as long as the scenery is well done and everything works then I will have achieved the primary goal. I really like the look and function of the DB signals anyways.

This below is a Viessman shunting signal (2 aspects) of which I'm still awaiting another dozen for the switching yard. They boast it's the smallest operating signal ever.

These are 4 aspect exit signals. The one not shown on the left is a block signal with only 2 aspects.

Bought 12 paint pens for $9.99 instead of a Woodland Scenics single pen for more than that for each one of them. Paving tape here. Smooth It, 1 quart, arrives next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Decoder for my TGV Thalys. I converted the light board to a newer style that accepts the NMRA 6pin design.

    My latest and last:
    Kato tiny boxcab.
It will go on the switching portion of the now finally under construction 'Grey and Grandure X'.
I will not be buying any more rolling stock.
I turn 67 in September and it is time to deaccumulate.

Deaccumulation is a task for my heirs... Unless it is in preparation for further accumulation!

Hit two LHStoday. Went to the first to order two Atlas WP GP40’s. They couldn’t get them but I did find three box cars. Second shop had three of the WP GP40’s in stock.[IMG]
