A few things made it in for me as well.

Everything is mail order for me and occasionally I get something like the woodland scenics transformer kit below to see if it works for me then order more if it does. I'm not going to order more but I think I can use it on my upcoming layout... that string will get replaced with ez-line when the time comes.

I knew what I was in for with this just released JTC well car set and they do make me smile as I'm looking over their exceptional detail.

The auto carrier pictured below is something I ordered last year from a dealer but was informed only last week it was cancelled because Trix was out of stock and wouldn't be shipping anymore. I did some searching of the interweb and I was lucky to not only find another NIB from a different dealer here in the US but at a significant discount over what I planned to pay for the original. Vehicles are very nicely done. I've other older sets from trix that came with vehicles but those were sourced from other manufacturers. The autos in this set are stamped trix and while not quite as nice as those Ford Explorers in the first pic they are pretty dang close. It's always a bonus when the major details like lights and wheels are pre-painted (ahem Kato) lol.

I finally ordered an OpitVisor and it arrived today. I had been thinking about this for some time as the lighted magnifier arm lamp I have been using for many years is coming apart and has become harder to work with even after several attempts to make repairs. My first impression is WOW, I should have gotten this earlier. A nice surprise is that both the OptiVisor and lighting unit are made in the US. Over the weekend I'll be taking on a few little projects trying out this new tool.

My Optivisor is about as old as me...

Yes...I would be lost without it.
It makes working on N Scale...and other stuff...so much more bearable...errrrrrrrr...enjoyable

Where did you get the visor and lights? My dominant right eye has been injured so I will be needing one.

My Opti Visor's headband deteriorated to the point where it split and actually lacerates my forehead. Could bot locate a new headband so I went to the 'where America shops' place. You know, Harbor Freight. Picked up a magnifier similar to the Opti Visor but minus the quality for about $5.00 or so.

Got a LifeLike SW9 off Ebay. Listing said Union RR but picture was of Montour RR #82. Wanted a Montour to go with my other five and #82 was one I didn't have. So we shall see. This had to be a custom paint job. It is missing a front headlight but I got spares so no big deal there.

Two gondolas arrived yesterday-I’ll renumber then to METX and add them to my Metra MoW train with some pretty good 3D printed ties from eBay that also came in. Still need to weather most of the ties. Waiting on some Herzog gons and a tie crane to come in, so I’ve got an IHB and CN gon as stand-ins. [IMG]
Got the crane on the way from someone on eBay who split up the MRL tie crane set from MT. Should a 6 gon train picking up used ties when it’s done.[IMG]

That'd be appropriate alright, but there ain't no pink flamingos (plastic or otherwise) in "Queen of My Double Wide Trailer"... (by Sammy Kershaw; written by Dennis Linde, released in 1993)

    Perhaps there should have been...

Should have a rusty old Chevy wagon in the drive as well. Or maybe a Beetle.

No… a Ford truck on blocks, bed full of junk, the beetle being converted to a dune buggy and the rusty Chevy still on its wheels. Oh yea and don’t forget the brand new in perfect condition bass boat sitting beside the house. After all the family has to eat so the boat was a necessity :D

These are all great ideas- my door size layout is full until I move back from Japan and get a basement. The trailers were going to sit in their boxes until I moved back to the US and built a trailer park somewhere along the Metra line between Round Lake and Antioch, IL.

Since my layout is full, I’ve been building a small diorama, in an urban setting, to continue building structures and to display rolling stock at work as I finish weathering them.

I’m absolutely inspired now to start a 2nd diorama later this fall, this time with the tracks running by the edge of a trailer park.

Thanks for the suggestions-and if anyone can point me in the direction of n scale pink flamingos, let me know, haha.
