Here my "budget" home made spay booth. I picked the fan up from Ace Hardware on sale for $9.99. I used 3 1/2 sheets of Dollar Store foam board. You would be surprised at how tough foam board is when you cover it with packing tape. I have built many a plane out of it. I used some scrape 1/4" Baltic Birch for the base. I have a set of LED's on the way, I am going to mount a few on each side and the top to light up the spray area. The LED's cost $8.00 from Amazon. I will see how bright they are to figure out how many LED's I need. It is 15" wide, 13" tall, 7" deep, the lazy susan is 4 1/4" square. Buzz.
Buzz, Thanks for the demonstration. I believe I have all the parts. Including the fan. Must see if I have a 12V converter for the lights (automotive lights). Just need a better air brush system. Rich
For mine I used an inexpensive 18 gallon plastic tote, from a big box store sale. ($4.00?) I can simply clip the lid on after use, to keep all inside it dust free.
If your referring to your storage method? Having to move out of a house I have a good supply of even bigger ones in rented storage. I have two spinner trays from painting the model cars and such. Just can't use the spray painter I have, not in an apartment.
That is a nice setup as well. I even have the panel for in the window. But it is in use now. Like with the other I'ld just use a foldup table and storage containers. Thanks a lot guys. Rich
I spray mostly water based craft paints. No real fumes. The spray mist can travel pretty far. I do have a activated charcoal filter material on order. Maybe one or two layers will keep the smell down? Foam board, hot glue, packing tape, you can make a lot out those things. Like the old joke about needing only two tools, WD40 and Duct Tape, if it moves and should not, duct tape, if it should move and won't, WD40. Now to build a layout, so I can put to use the things I paint. Buzz.
