Yes I'm in Baltimore I'm sure I know who you mean. I didn't even know I could get anything Peco locally, I just wanted to get my hands on some of it.

After I got my track laid, I dropped a storage box full of rolling stock on the concrete floor. I'll be preoccupied with assessing the damage and matching the loose parts for a bit before I get back to track. :(

I had a pre-conceived, pre-thought out thing to share with you. It looks like all the other professionals in the hobby beat me to it. It's all good. You'll figure out what you will eventually want to work with.

    Have fun.

Thanks, I'm working on it. :) The thing is, for all my reading, I've never (until this week) seen any of these physical products except for the Atlas basic stuff. Product pictures online don't help, there's no scale for reference. e.g. Realizing that the Peco insulfrog is the same length as an Atlas 5" straight track section was a surprise (Atlas' own #6 is longer). Worth it to try/buy a few different things - when I can find them - just to have that experience.

You can see how the various brands of track will fit together using one of the may track planning software packages available. Most of them have libraries for several different brands of track, and some of them are free or have a free trial offer.

That's true, I never thought of using it that way. I just stuck with the Atlas library since that's what I was working on. Thanks!

At first I would need to know were those library's are. I don't have local shops available so will have to mail order. Which means I will not see them until they arrive.
