So, any answer to these questions or are you just giving upand waiting on the PSX-ARSC's?

I am going to eventually replace the MRC A520 with a PSX-ARSC. But meanwhile, I have determined that the wye and reversing section are actually working properly. I found on closer observation that the short circuits that I was experiencing, exclusively with the TurboTrain, was actually caused by the TT derailing itself and causing the short by torquing it's trucks on both ends. I believe that this is wholly or at least partially caused by the TT's traction tires. More specifically, it appears to me that the truck torquing and derailed problem is caused by the differences between the traction coefficients between the traction tires and the bare metal wheels. Does this make sense to anyone else?

    That would do it.

    No, sorry.

Yes. It appears to have one traction tire per axle. If so, the side with the traction tire is going to get more traction. The two axles on a truck have the tire on opposite sides, so they should counteract each other, but I can see where the front wheels could be unloaded slightly (think of a drag car popping a wheelie) causing the rear to get more traction than the front and hence them not cancelling each other out.

Thanks CSX Robert. I had a nice response from Rapido Tech Support with more info on the traction tires and I think they are sending flat wheels to replace the traction tire wheels I'm having problems with. Oddly, I haven't had any more TT derailure problems in the last week, so I may get away without having to do the replacements.
