My 20x18 was bought at a drafting supply store next to the collage and the smaller ones at Radio Shack. But that was some time ago. And now everything has to be found on the internet.

Thats one of the reasons i haven't replaced it yet,They want more for the shipping than the product. I will wait...

What about Amazon? If you have Prime, even better.

Have a look at Joann Fabrics, Michaels or there is likely to be a quilting shop wherever you live.

    Stay safe,

Often these places have 40% Off One Item coupon on their website. Just keep an eye out.

I forgot to mention that my son gave me a new one for Christmas from a local art supply store. I spotted it there when looking for some other stuff. Very nice 12 x 18, double-sided, green and black, with a grid on both sides. I still use the old one, for "dirty" jobs. My wife sews and often stops at quilting shops to look for fabric. Many of them have a good selection of cutting mats from table-top size on down. If you find one for sewing, make sure it is self healing. Some are just for layout. None of these stores are chains. For the smaller shops you may have to make a few phone calls in your area.

Got mine at Amazon- 24" x 36" Self healing and no shipping cost. Came in a tube, but once it was rolled out overnight, it was great.

Got my self-healing mat at a local art supply store, years ago. Before all of the big box stores came here.

Thats cool, But i am in a one horse town that used to be a Railroad town and then it was dying down to where there is only 3 tracks where there used to be 8 or so tracks. BNSF and Union Pacific both come thru here. They still do but not as much freight and no passenger service here. The air force base is out side of town in Iowa park. Closest place is Forth Worth or Oklahoma City. Thats a 2+ hour drive from here. Thats why i have to use mail. I don't have Amazon Prime. Don't like what they did when i had prime so that isn't a option here. I lost two packages and had a hard time getting another one of whatever it was or a refund so they can pound sand. I will find one somewhere. There used to be a hobby shop here but thats gone too. I give this place a few more years and it will fold up and leave for better places to work. This town really took a hit when we had this Covid outbreak. A lot of ma and pa shops went under. That isn't coming back. It shows 105,000 people here but most of that is at the air force base

If you have some Azalea Bushes the dead branches of those make excellent logs for loads and cold decks.

I have been saving up. Now if Kato would get off its backside and send out there new flex track so i can finish that one turnout to the log dump!

We its been a slow week. First i did something with my right arm. Not sure how but woke up with it. Dr says its a sprain. Arm sling. The tests came back and the thyroid is needing a kick to start working. Also took me off two meds that can cause the thyroid to slow down. He has also noticed i gained a few pounds. So this is the plan for now. I have worked a bit on the sawmill, fixing parts damaged or just plain missing. Easy stuff. Make it on the desk and move it to the layout. A couple of pics that shows the work done. Still more to do. After that i plan to work the Barn and fielf and then do scenery and see where it goes from there. Laters
