Well! I enjoy your presentations. The trains, scenery and the music. I do agree with your disfavors but, would ad Polish Polkas. I grew up just out of Pulaski, Wisconsin so was heavily exposed to it.
Got any Dutch or Dutch/Belgian music? That's my ancestry, along with a smidgen of some others on Moms side.

A Polka would be great. Being that my heritage is Czech. I grew up around this type of music in Mining and Steel Mill towns in the Ohio Valley. Brings back memories.

Hmm!! Watching one of his trains doing a Polka would be interesting. :ROFLMAO:

I tried to find something with a Belgian rock band, came up with "Mud Flow." Yes, it was, exactly that. Ready to put my head in a vice to relieve the pressure. Went to a Finnish rock band, "Steve 'n' Seagulls," not a very inspiring name, but they do great covers and videos, mostly of AC/DC, but it didn't jive with the action, so fell back on some elevator Musak like tunes from Youtube.

I remember that song. Used to turn up the radio and sing along.
Being of Dutch heritage I sounded great.

I heard this song on the radio, quite by accident, and when I looked it up I knew I was in luck. Tarantino really gave this neat little ditty a second life when he used it as a cover track for "Reservoir Dogs." I have to wonder what Baker meant by "Little Green Bag." Little green bag of what? Dope?

    Ah, Wikipedia to the rescue:

What is the meaning of the song Little Green Bag?

    • The track's original title was "Little Greenback", in reference to the colour of the US dollar. However, the single was given the erroneous title "Little Green Bag", which some took to be a "bag of marijuana"

In my youth "Lil' Greenback" referred to nationality. Northerner!

More frivolity in OO. Still looking for a good Polka tune. Where I grew up, every other person's last name ended in "-ski." Shouldn't be too hard. My fourth grade teacher was a stunning blond by the name of Gozenski, nee Kosmeski.

    (y) That song would go well with a video of older steamers. Like that one used in Petticoat Junction. And several westerns it was in. But some nice southern scenery. :)

I do remember hearing that one. Also the very memorable event that was happening at the time.

I've been wondering how you make one train stop to allow another to go through the cross over first. Is it automatic?
Also all the debris on the cobblestone streets. Was there a storm? And the cockeyed red phone box. Did "Doctor Who" have a bad landing?

Dr. Who did have a bad landing, and repair crews have been sent forth. The storm debris was caused by the dust cover knocking off some foliage when pulled over the layout. The traffic at the two diamonds is manual control from the power packs. Diamonds spice things up a bit, and occasionally I goof the connection, but fortunately the buffer loops prevent damage. I tend not to play Devil's Advocate when I have some of the expensive, top shelf, stuff running.

I've thought about putting in DCC and running three or four trains simultaneously, and over the diamonds too boot, but decided that it would become more stress than pleasure.

Much of Britain remains unchanged from 1729 to 1979, so by simply removing the buses I can dial back a hundred years or so, easily. But some things never change...
