I also received these roadbed pieces today, they are called Easy Streets. Now I can lay down the roads for my layout. I might need some more pieces. I will see.

Today I received my area rug for my train room. It is a huge 92” x 60” rug!!! Between my ‍⬛ Jenks and the 17”square kitchen tiles is a good comparison of its massive size. Now I have to remove my trains and any other loose items on the layout.

I found it on an Chinese website called Namgashop.com.

There is this person I follow on Instagram which his shop has many different types of similar made railroad rugs(Railanoraks.com) with many other styles like this for sale. And the same price as mine. He told me he didn't have any of the Missouri Pacific ones. So I did a rug search on Google with "Missouri Pacific rug' in the title then clicked on to shopping at the top. FYI, it took almost a month to receive this rug. I took my chance with this website and was satisfied with the end results. Although the bottom is not like a rug or has a rubber bottom. It's made with a foam interior pad and its thin. On the inside and the bottom of it has little non skid dots on it to help prevent sliding. With shipping and all it ran me $84.89 not too bad for a huge mat!

A new addition to the layout today. I received an pair of classic metals Omaha orange high rail trucks. I added the Missouri Pacific lines buzzsaw logos on the doors. Now I need to order some extra roadbed and grade crossings with signals to the layout.

I put together a pair of wigwags and a fuel tank together made by showcase miniatures plus the fuel cranes from American limited. I also received a pair of Missouri Pacific trailers and a truck. I might need to buy another fuel tank due to the small size and adding a larger size would hamper the real estate between the yard tracks and the road itself.

I finished up one of the many houses that will be doting the layout. This shotgun house is a little bit from the normal. I wanted this to look rundown and dilapidated. Although still lived in.

Well since I completed the last shotgun house from Blairline, I put together another one plus I built up two of their company houses also. Then turned around and built up some woodland scenics DPM’s. Cricket’s saloon, Hayes hardware,& Otto’s parts store. The store’s I changed up their status. There’s a Sidetrack tap tavern, with an house-of-ill-repute in the back. Another one has an Raido/tv repair while selling sporting goods and hardware. Around the back of this business there’s an hobby shop. The third one that I built up is the local pawn shop with a side door to the apartments for rent upstairs. In the back the local barber shop, is in the first room to the right. Plus I touched up the Waffle House. The other photos will follow onto the next post.

Well I laid down my roadbed last night. Had to cut and trim to get around the steel distribution center and tie in the main drag with the road going out of town. Next I will have to add filler around the roadbed to hide the empty space under the ramps for the crossings. Plus later on, whenever my wife recovers from the surgery that she had today. She is wanting to add the sidewalk. Plus also on the current agenda, I have to buy four crossing gates with cross bucks. I already have the wigwags on the double spur to the feed store and mill.

Sorry I haven’t updated my progress recently. I have been busy with my layout. I guess that I’ve been too wrapped up it.
Yes, that’s an actual Herbie ( by Oxford automobile company) at the grade crossing.
