I just got 6 more of the red carpet platforms for my 20th Century Limited. This makes a total of 12 which Kato says is the number needed to cover the entire train. I will have to take their word for it as I don’t have any rails out right now.
Post human delivered these today: The roller test stand set which can be converted to use on various gauges from N to O 3-rail ... Not sure why a moose would need anything but N-gauge though... The angle meter gaugey thing ... It may not have a brand name, but you can tell it is a quality product, because, ummm, it says so right on the packaging!
I scored a deal on eBay, at half price, on five decoders that I could use in my ongoing DCC conversion program. I also got some Rock Island decals for my Choctaw Rocket project.
Got a little carried away today One Kato 4-8-4 UPRR Two atlas GP40’s Western Pacific One set of Kato UP excursion train cars Four passenger cars Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Living in Washington, I've added some Intermountain Grain Train cars to my roster. View attachment 236911 View attachment 236911
I used the last smear from my dried-out vial of Microscale Kristal Clear several weeks ago to affix window "glass" in a N scale building. No nearby hobby shop. Holding off ordering online until I have enough items to justify minimum shipping. Made a trip to Houston to see relative & friend, so stopped at hobby shop there. Bought my Kristal Clear for $5 plus change, l but I figured to add something to justify credit card use. Bought a pack of 20 mini bulbs for future structure-lighting projects- - didn't realize they were going to cost $40+. Bought a magazine, first I have bought in a year. And there was a local history "coffeetable" photo book on consignment table for $10. My $5 Kristal Clear wound up as a $70 purchase.
Try buying an electric bicycle to save on gas. The "throttle" and the "pedals" give you instant full speed. I've been inform by two dealers this is normal for all of them. So much safer that way.
Digitrax UT6 throttle. Still trying to figure the @#$&@$@ thing out!! Is it standard UT6, or UT6D etc.....Can’t get it to work with UR91 or the LNWI/UR93, as stated it’s supposed to do! Need to do a firmware upgrade as well, at some point, see it that’ll help! Nice other wise.
The 6 series are having a lot of trouble but the latest firmware (there have been a few!) has addressed most of them.
Will the PR3 be necessary, in order to upgrade? Or would I be able to upgrade, using the LocoBuffer instead? Have the LocoBuffer, but not the PR3.
I believe you can do it with either but people have mention success with a Locobuffer on the Digitrax IO group.
Picked up 20 freight cars at Central Ohio N Scale Weekend, from several dealers. Also Digitrax DCS 52 and 3 Micro-Trains Atlas U25B conversion coupler kits from Fifer Hobbies.
