Good morning from suuny and cool Northeast Ohio!

I got a couple of projects done this week!

Lambert brass caboose, painted with Floquil Jade Green and lettered with Microscale Decals.

Intermount Pullman Standarad 60' Boxcar Kit, painted with Scalecoat II ATSF Mineral Brown and Silver Paints, then lettered with Microscale Decals. The NP purchased 6 of these boxcars for pool service to the Pontiac plant in Flint Michigan, the assignment was quickly painted over and they ended up in general service on the NP hauling paper, wood and wood pulp.

Rivarossi U25C engines with a string of various H39 and H37 Hoppers (including the H39 that I finished last week) on the Strongsville Club Layout.

    Thanks for looking!

Thought something was up with my computer until I saw others were having problems with photos.

These are my newest just out of the boxes acquisition. These are the fulfillment of something I had wanted since I was about 10 years old. I had resigned myself the only way I was going to get one was in brass and given the prices that was never going to happen. Then a little while ago I discovered Con-Cor had released them. Of course I was late to the party and no one had any. Prices on eBay were ridiculous. Then the about two weeks I was on Con-Cor's website looking for something and one popped up. Curious I took a look and low and behold they had some in PRR scheme. I did a double take on the prices when I looked at them. Checked the model railroad budget and I could grab a powered/unpowered pair of coaches for the the price of powered coach on eBay. So here they are PRR MP54 coaches. Someday I may try to get a pair in Penn Central colors.

Something wacky I picked up at an estate sale a few years ago:

The thing is so top-heavy it's just not rollable...

But it makes a nice static display in a yard or on a factory spur.:)

So my local pusher received these...but I still have to repaint them. Way too orange...they should be Grande Gold.

    Rick,
Nice cars this week as usual. Not nitpicking, just curious about all things Michigan rail history. So far as I'm aware, there was not a Pontiac plant in Flint, although I think GM Truck and Bus is there now. Am I mistaken or were these cars assigned to Chevrolet or Buick in Flint, or the Pontiac plant in- where else? Pontiac.?

Read the incorrect line in the list of 60' Fisher Body cars, should be GM Parts, Flint, MI via the GTW.

OK, likely would have been Chevrolet. Way back in the day, the agreement was made that GTW switched Chevrolet and Pere Marquette switched Buick. Interesting. Thanks for posting.
