What CP predecessor company's tracks? I cannot find Plymouth in any Official Guide. I am going to guess perhaps Soo Line (MSt.P&SSM?)
I was trying to find out the other day but, although some sources on the 'net indicated which railroads were in that area, none of them had any info on that specific track. Doug
If your state is like Ohio, you may be able to Google "railroad maps" and find historic and current maps showing rail routes that are color coded for the railroads that owned and/or operated them. The ones I have seen for Ohio even show where some routes are shared between several railroads.
Thanks, Pastor John. I finally found a map showing it. Boxcab, you are correct. It was SOO Line and actually the SOO Line is still the US subsidiary of CP so those rails could still be called SOO. Doug
I had a dear, long time friend who worked for the Soo. (He passed away a couple of years ago. ) Their operations were taken over by CP, but the Soo corporate shell remained. (It's a common tax and accounting procedure.) His paychecks came from the Soo, but his everyday work was essentially all CP.
