I've been playing around with the Industrial area based on the CAD drawing I did. First I modified the Superior Paper mill kit to use as the paper coating plant, and then modified a Hardwood Furniture kit for the shipping/receiving center. I had to cut about 4" off the paper mill to make it work, but it actually worked out better than I thought because I got to use the excess as a link between the buildings. I dry fit all the track and turnouts to make sure they all fit and there are no kinks or too tight radius. Now to finish up the building kits so I can start laying the track work. A lot of this track is going to be covered with styrene to resemble street running, and then add the details. I put a lot of thought into the switching moves possible with this combination, and it should allow me to switch all four facilities while minimizing any interference on the mainline. As operations are winding down on the RK&M we find Baldwin S-12 (Bowser) heading up a livestock move with two PRR Livestock Cars (Bowser) and four Poultry Transportation Cars (Bachmann) with a PRSL N-5 caboose (Bowser kit) on the rear.
